The heads between all the GenIII motors are interchangable. LQ4 (6.0L), LQ9 (6.0L), LS1 (5.7L), LS6 (5.7L), and LR4/LM4 (4.8/5.3L) heads are all interchangable. However, combustion chamber size, port volumes, and valve size does vary between these different head castings.

Infopic: How to port mac header primaries
Port them out using an air grinder or dremmel with a sanding bit. Key is to grind down the bump of weld all around inside each primary.
