The blackwing airfilter is a staple of the C5 community, offering great performance, a basic package, simple install, and low pricepoint. This is the F-body "air lid" equivalent to a C5.

Review:
Simple, elegant, and CHEAP second hand :) Price was the main reason I bought this unit, and it hasn't let me down yet. I have driven through monsoons without sucking up water, so nobody should need to worry about that.
It is my opinion that the blackwing is at the sweetspot in the intake market, as far as HP/Dollar goes compared to its competitors.

Review:
This the first modification to my C5. It took me from 13.5@107 to 13.19@109 with a 2.2 60' time for each run. I bought mine used.

Review:
Had my '98 C5 for a week and was bitten by the mod bug! This was my first mod. Relatively inexpensive, looks good, performs well, and is an easy DIY install.
