The Vararam VR-1B is a cleverly designed induction system that draws air from the foglight area through a large rectangular panel filter and funneled into the MAF.

Review:
Compared to most other C5 induction systems, the Vararam is probably the most difficult to install. Its construction leaves much to be desired, with my main complaint being "craft-store" air filter. I have been fighting the filter since the day I installed it, keeping dirt out has been difficult living in the dry southwest.
A new filter promises to to solve my complaint, I'll report back when I have a chance to try it.
I have noticed consistantly lower IAT temperatures with this system, which is the reason I sold my Blackwing.
My only measure of performance gain is checking the manifold pressure compared to barometric pressure. The Vararam provided a wider rpm band without the tell-tale manifold vacuum of an inadequate induction system.
